We're Off

My son Danny and I spent a busy night packing, shopping and washing clothes for the trip. I am exhausted but excited to get the mission under way.

AsI packed the bags I was awed by the generous outpourng our mission has received. Just today a pediatrician friend of ours dropped off bags and bags of baby formula. The people at Florida Today, where I work, were also extremely giving. Every day this wek there was a bag of clothes or formula or baby bottles waiting for me on my desk.

We barely had enough room for everything.

Thank you, thank you, thak you.

But I am not done asking.

Please pray hard and often for us over these next few days. Pray that our trip is successful and that the Lord keeps us safe. Please pray especially that the people we visit will be lifted by hope and faith.

Amen.

HELLO from Millie Badolato :-) I will be thinking & praying for all of you this whole weekend. I wish I could have gone also, but God made it so Steve's aunt Lisa Bahary be able to go. I think God needed her since she is an RN and would be able to help a lot more with the medical check ups.
You are right, God has touched the hearts of many people here in the USA with their outpouring of donations. Everyone wants to give to Haiti in any way they can. People are so generous & have not forgotten Haiti. Steve & I would like to thank so many people for their help in preparing for this trip, but I dont know what the limit is on the size of this comment :-) I would like to express our gratitute to Steve's 2 managers, Melissa & Autumne for helping us gather the medical supplies; to Dr. Maki, for his generous contribution of medical surgical equipment; for the Pharmaceutical rep who donated crayons, coloring books, toothbrushes, etc.; and a very special THANK YOU to Ross Clark, pharmacist & owner of Suntree Pharmacy, for his amazing contribution of much needed medications & more supplies. Our hearts are touched by everyones generous hearts & I know that this LOVE WILL reach our brothers & sisters of Haiti. Please hug all the children for me.
